After obtaining certification as exclusive bargaining representative, the Union and a public employer must then bargain in good faith to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), which will govern the terms and conditions of employment for the period of time stated therein. Data collection by the PELRB reveals that more than 60,000 public employees are represented by an exclusive collective bargaining agent or Union under the PEBA.
